Years ago I tried about 20 different Chinese restaurants all over town and I never found one that I really liked. So I basically quit going to Chinese restaurants unless I was traveling and had a trusted local recommend one to me.
There is a new shopping center about 10 minutes from my house that has a new Chinese restaurant in it. I decided to give them a try and I was happily surprised to find a large buffet and everything was delicious. Lunch was under $10, including drink and tip. I will be back!
Yes just like a lot of other people, I’ll be traveling for the holidays. My old luggage has just about had it so I think I’ll check out some new Samsonite luggage. I have had Samsonite luggage since I was a little girl going back and forth to my grandparents each summer. In fact, I still have the make-up bag piece to the original luggage I had. Samsonite is the best if you ask me.
Unfortunately like everyone knows we lost the King of Pop but long before Michael Jackson was Elvis and he was and always will be the King of Rock. What I love about Elvis is that he could have sang about a buzzard on a manure wagon and made it sound wonderful.
His gospel music was the best! There are so many gospel songs that he did that still to this day, give me goose bumps and this is one of my many favorites. There are also some great pictures of him in this video.
Can you believe that August is almost over? Tomorrow is the last day of August and then comes September, like you didn’t already know that but it is just blowing me away how fast the year is going. Before you know it, it’s going to be Halloween, then Thanksgiving and then Christmas. You all know what comes after Christmas……………….New Years!!
I really am having a hard time accepting that the year is going so darn fast. I can’t figure out if it’s because I have been so busy or if it’s like I have always heard, ‘Time goes faster the older you get.’ The problem is I’m not OLD yet and don’t plan on getting OLD for many more years.
I have had a pretty good life but when I stop and think of how my life could have been without my wonderful friends, I honestly don’t think I could have made it through as well. Sure we all have good days and bad days but hearing the voice of a friend on the other end of the telephone or seeing them at your front door can make a bad day into a good one.
I was taught as a child to always make sure to thank anyone that does something for you, especially if it’s just out of the goodness of their hearts. Well I suddenly feel the need to thank anyone and everyone that has touched my life. You know who you are and if you’re not sure you’re one of them, you are. Even the readers of my blog. I couldn’t have done it without you!! Thank you so very much and my God bless!!
