Apartment life has its advantages, especially when you really like your neighbors. I have been lucky that all the people in my apartment building are about my age and everyone works. We get along great and sometimes have cookouts in the courtyard over the summer. Its nice to know that if I need something like a little bit of milk or a couple scoops of coffee beans, that I can knock on the door of my one my neighbors and borrow it instead of having to get in the car and drive all the way to the store and back. We all help each other out that way.
But there is a cute little house not far from my apartments that just put up a “for rent” sign in the front yard. It looks like the people who used to live there have already moved out. I didn’t know them, but the house is cute and it has a little fenced in yard in the back where I can plant a garden in the spring.
Tonight when I drive by the house I think I will write down the phone number on the sign and give them a call. If the rent is not much more money than what I am paying for this apartment, I think I might be interested in moving.
This year I think I messed up on the taxes that I signed up for my employer to hold back or there is something wrong in his payroll office. I don’t think he held back enough, so I might end up paying in money to Uncle Sam for the first time in my life. That has me really freaked out.
Everyone else I work with is saying that they had to pay in extra money, too. I wonder if that is just a coincidence or if they are all lying and trying to get sympathy?
Looks like I will have to sit down this weekend and not only figure out how much I owe but also how I am going to come up with the extra money. Ugh. Not looking forward to this at all.
I don’t understand why the Kia cars are advertised at such a cheap price and American cars are selling for twice as much money. I can’t believe that there is two times better material in an American car.
The Kia cars look nice and come with an excellent guarantee of 5 years. So why are they selling for $11,000 brand new and you can’t buy an American car for under $20,000?
A friend of mine that owns a consignment shop needed a new receipt printer since her’s decided to quit working for her. I’m big on saving money and so is she which is why she started her store, to help others to save money too. The last thing she needed was a high expense that wasn’t totally necessary so she found what she needed at a great price and saved everyone money at the same time.
I got an ecard today from someone that put only the name Secret on it. The ecard was from yahoo which was fine but then it wanted me to go to another site to see pictures of who was my ‘secret admirer’. They said they were ‘shy’ about approaching me.
Well once I went to the other link, they wanted my credit card number. I don’t know about you but I’m not putting my credit card number on any site that I’m not sure of. It could be a scam and someone trying to steel my identity instead of a ‘secret admirer’. I’m not hard up enough to take a chance like that.
